Dr. Heather is a Fellow and Honorary Lecturer for the Society of Economic Geologists (SEG) and is a co-founder and Chairman of the Chilean-based charity “Fundación Mineros Contra El Cáncer.”Dr. Heather is an economic geologist with more than 30 years of field experience in North and South America. Dr. Heather received a BSc. (honours) degree in geology from the University of British Columbia (Vancouver, Canada) in 1982, a MSc. degree in geology from Queen’s University (Kingston, Canada) in 1985, and a PhD. degree from the University of Keele (Keele, England) in 2001.
Dr. Heather is also a founding member of two junior mineral exploration companies Antares Minerals Inc. (sold in 2010 to First Quantum Minerals) and Regulus Resources Inc.; where Dr. Heather currently occupies the position of Chief Geological Officer. Dr. Heather is also the founder of the Chilean based, independent consulting company, “The Rock Doctor Ltda.”, based in La Serena, Chile.
Rafael C. Jordan Jadrievic

Rafael C. Jadrievic Jordan is an original member of the group who helped establish Fundación Mineros Contra El Cáncer who dedicated his time and legal expertise in setting the charity up. Rafael is an Attorney UGM and the Chairman of the Region IV Bar Association. Rafael is an attorney whose career is varied having specialize in defense cases both large and complex related to Civil Justice, Military, and the Environment. He also has experience in the field of Human Rights cases. In addition to his legal career, Rafael is a Yoga Master and has taught yoga for more than 15 years and is the Director of the Big Hill School of Yoga, based in La Serena Chile.

Isabel Araya Araya is a co-founder of the Chilean-based charity “Fundación Mineros Contra El Cáncer”. Isabel is an energetic and caring individual whose dedication and hard work were instrumental in establishing the charity. Isabel is employed by the Rock Doctor Limitada as an office administrator. Isabel has previously worked as a Dermatological Assistant and other patient-care related fields. Isabel is a cancer survivor and has extensive practical experience working in palliative care of other cancer patients.

George is an original member of the group who helped establish Fundación Mineros Contra El Cáncer. George is also the founder and principal of G-MEC (Geology & Mining Evaluation Consulting), an independent consulting company based in Viña del Mar, Chile. George is a mining engineer and a mineral economist, with 30 years’ experience in operations, consulting, research and development, and teaching. He specializes in strategic planning, mine design, and economic evaluation of projects.Through his time in operations and consulting for mining and exploration companies, he developed an overall knowledge of the mineral industry including geology, mining, processing, and metal markets, which allows him to develop comprehensive solutions to problems related to long-term planning and economic evaluation of exploration properties and producing mines. He is a professional engineer registered in Quebec and Ontario and a Qualified Person under the National Instrument 43-101. He is fluent in French, English, and Spanish.
Director, Vice President Corporate Relations
Brian H. Larocque, is an original member of the group who helped establish Fundación Mineros Contra El Cáncer. A native of Sudbury Ontario, Canada. Brian graduated with a Mining Engineering Technology diploma from Cambrian College. He spent five years in Timmins Ontario, working in the mining industry and then entered the mining supply field. He then moved to South Africa, where he was the international technical sales manager. He returned to Canada and started to work in industrial sale in Ontario.He married a Chilean while in Canada and started a family, at which point he and his family moved to Chile in 1994. He started his own mining supply business and over the years made a success of the company. In 2012 he started two new companies in Chile, Hard-Line Solution Chile and the other Larocque/RST instruments; where he is a director of both companies and oversees both companies’ daily activities. Brian is currently living in Las Condes and his interests are mostly leisurely activities with friend and family.
Director, Vice President Medical Relations
Dr. Tessier is a Family Physician, graduated from the Université de Sherbrooke, Canadá in 1978. He obtained a Fellowship from the College of Family Physicians of Canada in 1990. He revalidated his title with the Universidad de Chile in 2009 and is fully registered with the Superintendencia de Salud in Chile. He divides his medical career working between Chile and Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. In Santiago, he devotes time in the Centro de Salud Familiar (CESFAM) with the Fundación Cristo Vive en Recoleta.Pierre is also trained and qualified to supervise hemodialysis and as such, works in a private dialysis centre in La Reina, Santiago, Chile. His professional interests range in the whole cycle of Family Medicine, from birth to care to the dying, health promotion and Public Health. He is also involved with teaching undergraduate students and Family Medicine residents from the U. de Chile. He also has a private practice, in the borough of Vitacura, offering services to Canadian expatriates living in Chile.
